The Brief

Our client, a development project supporting exporters in creating and maintaining markets for fresh produce in the UK, needed regular, accurate and independent data on arrival quality to enable their growers and exporters to understand the quality of their product on arrival, and to implement any necessary changes to improve the quality of their fresh produce.

The Project

FSL designed and implemented and programme of inspections through the season. Our inspectors were able to visit importer premises to observe arrivals, and carry out a complete quality inspection on a variety of fresh produce consignments. The inspections assessed each delivery individually, against set criteria and were carried out to strict procedures. The results were designed to give continuous and regular feedback to all parties, provided online via our Online Platform.

The Benefits

The client is provided independent, clear and concise feedback on arrival quality for all deliveries of fresh produce, at any location in the UK.

The online reporting allows this data and analysis to be shared with multiple parties, from growers to exporter to importers, with each party only seeing the data for which they have access.

The findings have allowed the growers and exporters to implement improvements from shipment to shipment and deliver a better quality product to their customers.
